Outlook Express has yet a new CRITICAL ERROR that allows an attacker to run any code they want on a machine.
Grr.. when it comes to Microsoft .. just say no. The full story can be found here:
http://www.eweek.com/article2/0,3959,630997,00.asp — If you have Internet Explorer 6.0 with Service Pack 1, you are safe from this vulnerability.
FYI .. I have been using Mozilla (both the browser & email client) for the past several months and it works great. Infact, it has some nice features for power users over Internet Explorer & Outlook Express which some of you may find helpful.
Google has added a new feature to its website: Google News.
The website, presented in a format similar to other news sites (MSNBC, CNN, Reuters, etc..) provides its readers the culmination of 4,000 continuously updated news sources.
Google searches out new articles on the Internet, automatically categorizes the articles under various topics (Top Stories, World, U.S., Business, Science and Technology, Sports, Entertainment and Heatlh) and similar articles are placed together to allow readers to be presented with more than one viewpoint on a topic.
The service is still considered “beta” and as a result, there are occasionally articles that are grouped incorrectly, listed under the wrong categories, etc.
News sources include Reuters, CNN, Ananova, FOX Sports, United Press International, National Post, Austin American Statesman, USA Today, ABC News, San Francisco Chronicle, San Jose Mercury News, BBC, CBS Marketwatch, Washington Post, Science Daily, IT World, UN News Centre, Boston Globe, The Age, Toronto Star, MTV, Guadian, Yahoo Headlines, Times of India, CTV, CBC Halifax, Jakarta Post, Newsday, Financial Times UK, Salon, World Socialist, Rolling stone, Manchester Evening News, and IrishExaminer.
